Queen & Corgi Craft Class: The embroidered dachshund foldable tote

This is a simplified how-to on creating a custom embroidered foldable shopping tote. These embroidered foldable totes are available from the Queen and Corgi store at http://queenandcorgi.etsy.com or by contacting info@queenandcorgi.com

1. Draw your design straight onto a piece of fabric using a washable fabric pen or pencil.

2. Stretch the fabric in an embriodery ring, and start embroidering - I used a very fine detailed stem stitch and gradient dyed embroidery cotton.

3. When the embroidery is complete cut it into a square measuring 15x16cm. Sew a second piece of fabric the same size to the front of the embroidery on three sides leaving the top open. Turn it inside out and then fold in the top and attach a loop of elastic in the middle and sew closed. Sew on a button on the bottom middle.

4. Sew the pocket on the middle of the bag on three sides leaving the top open to form a pocket.

5. Now you can fold the tote and use the elastic and button to fasten it shut.
